Can you help in crashing the Gwent servers?
Itâs rare that a game developer asks its users to try and mess their game up, but thatâs what CD Projekt Red wants to happen with its currently in-beta, Witcher card game, Gwent. Later today the Polish developer is looking to stress test its servers, which means it wants you to sign up and play at a very specific time.
The times that youâre requested to make an appearance are 8am PT/11am ET/4pm UK/5pm CEST later today, September 23 and on the 27th at 1am PT/2pm ET/7pm UK/8pm CEST.
Each test will last four hours, so you have plenty of time to get some Gwent in, but donât be surprised if the servers get a little shaky at times, after all it is a stress test.
Of course since this is a beta there are many of you wondering just how you get to play the game at all. For that youâll need to sign up on the Itâs not guaranteed youâll get in of course, but if youâre quick thereâs a good chance as CD Projekt Red wants as many people as possible to take part in this upcoming test. It expects the game to be pretty popular post release, so making sure it runs fine when there are lots of people playing is a must.
As a by the by though, even if you get into this specific test, it doesnât mean youâll get to stay in the beta afterwards. This is one of those love you and leave you tests, but Gwent isnât that far off from release, so donât worry.
