Next Borderlands Is Ditching Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3

The next Borderlands is being designed specifically for the new generation of consoles with no holding back for older-gen compatibility.

Gearbox Software CEO Randy Pitchford didn’t actually reveal much about the game beyond calling it “the big one” and affirming that it is being developed “specifically for next-gen consoles.”

It’s about time game developers free themselves from the shackles of 10 year old hardware.
