About Us

In July 1998, MegaGames was launched, becoming the trailblazer for dedicated hardcore gamers, especially in PC gaming. Pioneering in offering game trainers and other hardcore gamer-centric content, MegaGames set the stage for what it means to be a 'hardcore gamer' – a term we put on the map! Fast forward to today, over 25 years later, thanks to our incredible community, we've expanded into the largest archive of game trainers and user-generated content for hardcore gamers. In addition, we're also a go-to source for the latest news and official content across PC and console gaming.

What defines a hardcore gamer? They're not just any gamer; they're the tech-savvy, trendsetting enthusiasts in the gaming world. Hardcore gamers dive into a diverse array of games, always keen to explore new technology first. They're often at the forefront of gaming trends, and it's not uncommon to see many of them channelling their passion into becoming video game developers themselves.

MegaGames Team:

Harsha Jayasekera - Founder & Editor-in-Chief

Manages the overall website operations including the website's content. As a teenager, his passion for video gaming led him to create game trainers and break PC game copy protection systems. Seeing that there were no websites that focussed on hardcore gaming, Harsha founded MegaGames as a hobby in July 1998. MegaGames was the first website to host game trainers and Harsha was a pioneer in popularising the concept as an alternative and an addon to cheat codes. He was responsible for growing MegaGames to become one the largest websites on the Web, receiving approximately 1% of all Web traffic in the early 2000’s. As an avid PC gamer and a World of Warcraft player, he currently plays a Rank 14 Warrior. Harsha is also a serial entrepreneur and has founded/co-founded several successful tech startups.
