Block Story combines block building with RPG elements. First, players explore a vast world and mine resources from the terrain. Then they craft weapons, armor, and magical items, so each upgrade makes tougher fights possible. Quests guide the way, because a wise wizard teaches the basics and supporting characters offer help. Meanwhile, players level up a hero with custom stats and attributes.

The world ranges from desert wastelands to arctic mountains and even space. Additionally, dragons and more than 30 other creatures can serve as rides. However, danger follows players everywhere, since monsters and bosses roam the biomes. The Reforged update, version 14.0, added new space layers and over 50 new blocks and items. Overall, the game suits players who want building and combat in one package.
