Pas de Street Fighter IV pour les salles d'arcade américaines

Street Fighter IV PC, Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 versions have been confirmed for North American release, but if you are hoping to play it at your local arcade store before that, tough luck: Capcom confirmed that the arcade version of the game won't be released officially in the U.S.

"At this point, it does not look like Street Fighter 4 arcade machines will officially hit the U.S. arcade market," Chris Kramer, senior director of communications and community for Capcom Entertainment, told Edge-Online. "There's not really an arcade business in the U.S. anymore. It's sort of like an 'amusement' business that sometimes has arcade games in it," a-t-il déclaré.

This marks the first Street Fighter title no to hit the U.S. arcade market.

Determined arcade store owners can shell a few thousand dollars to import the game from Japan, but Capcom doesn't indorse this practice as it technically violates some of the American import laws.
