EA Reveals EA Access Subscription Service For Xbox One

EA has partnered with Microsoft to deliver EA Access, an all-new monthly (or annual) membership for gamers exclusively on Xbox One that starts at just $4.99 a month.

The service is being rolled out in beta to a limited number of players today, but it will launch for everyone on Xbox One soon. During the beta, gamers will have unlimited access to four EA games: FIFA 14, Madden NFL 25, Peggle 2 and Battlefield 4, with more titles being added soon.

EA Access members will also enjoy a 10% discount on purchases of EA digital content for Xbox One offered through the Xbox Games Store. This discount covers everything from simple DLC to full digital-download titles like the upcoming Dragon Age Inquisition and NHL 15.

Additionally, EA Access users get to experience trials of new EA games up to five days before the release date. It starts with Madden NFL 15, NHL 15, FIFA 15, NBA LIVE 15, and Dragon Age: Inquisition, but more are on the way. If you decide to buy the game, your progress will carry over so you can pick up right where you left off.

EA Access costs $4.99 per month, or $29.99 per year.

5$/month for 10%/game what a joke

You need to be buying more then 50$ worth of game EVERY month for that to be remotely useful. The ability to have the game 5 days in advance is totally useless (unless you like being the tester for the buggy first release of the game). Yet another shameless money grab: Seems EA is really banking on the stupidity of their player base.

What are you talking about???

What are you talking about??? Your math is terrible!! For $30 a year and you can cancel whenever, but you get full access to play 4 EA titles!! Sounds like a bargain! If I paid full price for all 4 I would be way over $30. Yes granted you would fully own them but thats not the point here. Im not trying to defend EA. But this is a great step in the right direction!!! If they are thinking of doing what has been rumored... than for $30 a year you'll get full access to play the full EA sports line up updated to the new release every year!! Even if you only buy one sports game like Madden or NHL you're still ahead!! I know EA has something up its sleeve cause its sounding too good to be true but like I said even if they only have one sports game that they keep update to the newest release every year its still well worth the $30 a year!!
