Fez II Cancelled After Its Creator Got Fed Up

Fez II has been cancelled and is no longer in development, tweeted the official Polytron Twitter account.

Fez II was announced last month during Horizon conference which ran parallel to E3 2013. No info was given regarding the project beyond the fact that it is (was) in development.

In a post on the studio’s official website, Polytron creative director Phil Fish confirmed the game’s cancellation.

“ FEZ II is cancelled.
i am done.
i take the money and i run.
this is as much as i can stomach.
this is isn’t the result of any one thing, but the end of a long, bloody campaign.

you win.”

Megagames readers are full of ****

You guys calling him a douchebag and other stuff, please go and play on a heavily trafficed road. Do you think its easy to create games and entertainment for you? Retarded comments like yours may end up hurting somebody, and you wouldn't dare to say most of your stuff to other peoples face, only online where nobody sees you.

Okay? I mean, I haven't seen them in like five years but I guess if speaking to corpses is normal for you I'll give it a go. I mean, if you disagree with me you could do what normal people do and just say "I disagree because..." but sure, being a **** is cool too.

IDK, at least Jonathan Blow

IDK, at least Jonathan Blow has his philosophies and convictions regarding games and sticks by them, even if the games that result from it are a little rough. If anything, we need more ******** with strong ideals like him and less self-absorbed ******** like Fish.

I have just quit the industry

I have just quit the industry as well. Zero creativity. People are happy with constant reskins or the lowest possible experience for the lowest possible money in terms of development. Or you go high end to a AAA studio and get treated like garbage. **** it, there is easier lives out there paying more money.

The guy seem highly

The guy seem highly depressive and he dedicate all his time on his game. The result is that after giving so much and having so many complains in return from all the "comic-book-guy" of the internet, he decided to pull the plug. Thing you say can hurt people, this also apply if you write your insults on the web.
