Windows 10 bloque tous les jeux protégés par SafeDisc ou Securom
Games and audio CDs protected by SafeDisc and Securom will not work on Windows 10 without a proper No CD crack.
âEverything that ran in Windows 7 should also run in Windows 10. There are just two silly exceptions: antivirus software and stuff thatâs deeply embedded into the system needs updating â but the developers are on it already â and then there are old games on CD-Rom that have DRM,â explained Microsoftâs Boris Schneider-Johne at this yearâs Gamescom. âThis DRM stuff is also deeply embedded in your system, and thatâs where Windows 10 says âsorry, we cannot allow that, because that would be a possible loophole for computer viruses.â Thatâs why there are a couple of games from 2003-2008 with Securom, etc. that simply donât run without a no-CD patch or some such.â
In addition to numerous audio CDs published by Sony, hundreds of games are affected, including BioShock, Mass Effect, Spore, Red Alert 3 and GTA 3.
Rovi Corporation, the creators of SafeDisc, has updated its (German) website with the following statement:
âSafedisc DRM hasnât been supported for a few years now, and the driver has consequently not been updated for some time. Microsoft should have migrated the existing software since Windows 8. We donât know if thatâs still possible with Windows 10 or if they simply didnât care about it.â
If only it was possible to find some mega site to download the necessary no-CD fixes! With some Google-Fu and a little bit of luck, weâre sure you can find one.
