Edelson McGuire firm has filed a lawsuit against Electronic Arts, asking for free copies of Battlefield 1943 to be handed out to all Battlefield 3 PlayStation 3 players.
The firm is basing its case on an announcement made by EA earlier this year, stating that the PlayStation 3 version of Battlefield 3 would come with a free copy of Battlefield 1943. This promise was not honored as Battlefield 3 was released without the promised bonus.
In the lawsuit Edelson McGuire claimed EA misled and profited from thousands of their customers by making a promise that they could not, and never intended, to keep.
The firm is asking the judge to force EA to honor its commitment and to provide the promised game to all Battlefield 3 PS3 owners.
