Final Fantasy XV has the Typical Protagonists

Square Enix has let loose a breakdown of the main characters in the upcoming Final Fantasy XV and what do you know, they look and sound like many characters from the previous generations of FF games. On top of that, the plot is full of overly non-typical names and places. This is definitely Final Fantasy.

The leader of the troupe, Noctus Lucis Caelum (he'll fit right in with Squall, Tytus and Cloud) is the heir apparent to the throne of Lucis and can "see a heavenly light." But he's not the kind of guy to toe the line, oh no, he's a bit of a renegade and though "he made act brash at times, he does so in defense of those loyal to him."

His closest friend is called Gladiolus Amicitia and his other companions include Ignis Scientia, Prompto Agentum and Cor Leonis.

If you thought those names were hard to pronounce, have a go at reading the plot synopsis aloud:

"The only crystal left to the world lies in the Kingdom of Lucis. Upon striking a peace with the garrison state of Niflheim, Lucis rejoices in having at last brought the cold war to a close. Their celebrations, however, are premature. Under the guise of amity, Niflheim dispels the anti-armament runewall and launches a full-scale invasion of the kingdom. The peaceful lives Crown Prince Noctis and his entourage once knew are consumed by the flames of war as they struggle to mount a resistance."

None of the character portraits look particularly new either. They're all walking forward with their Rod Stewart hair-dos and mean looks.

And red shoe soles for some reason.

Well at least the plot sounds more mature than FFXIII's whine fest. What do you guys think?

Wow does human intellect get any worse?

I read this article and to my surprise did I notice, since when did they let drunkards write articles? Perhaps they may seek to employ me? Why the constant childish rhetoric and hateful tone? It seems they are resonating people who clearly do not play RPG to review and give comments, the results are likely to be distasteful. As for those names mentioned, they sound South European, with a Greek feel. What is wrong with that, at least it is a change other than the usual names of Mark, Luke, John, James, Steve, Tom, Dick, Harry. I really appreciated the level of articulation of Final fantasy 12. It was very classy indeed. I understand that there are some shooting game fans here; please note, shooting games are shooting games and role playing games are role playing games, do not attempt to blur the genres, you will only make a mess. If shooting games have foul language than that's fine if the fans agree, however please do not take our articulation and flush it in the rest room and ruin this most fine series known as Final Fantasy; which I am made aware that is a dying breed. I shall not stoop down to your level of intellect and articulation by swearing like a pirate or riff-raff and ruin my class, shouting and foul-mouthing achieves nothing. May the those responsible for Final Fantasy not give in to the premature vain upstarts of the few to bring ruin for the many. On a closing note; War on Want, War on "Happiness of the Few at the cost of the Many" and finally, War on "Parade what you've got, steal what you've not"

You know, this is the one Final Fantasy tittle that actually stood as different than the recent regurgitated crap formula they've been throwing on their games.

I love how you inferior illiterate retards jealous nerdrage and hate on one of the greatest series there is today. Ever thought of sucking dick? No? Ask your mother for pointers.
