Mario Party 10 fails to impress

Mario Party 10 was the next first party release on Nintendo's schedule in 2015, launched at around the time it became clear the Japanese developer would be moving on from the Wii U to some extent, with the announcement of its Nintendo NX console development. Presumably this was designed to help maintain the little faith that the gaming public still has in the Wii U, but it was not to be, as reviews of the game have not been kind.

Even if we all agree at this point that , the fact that so many have rated it with a score of 60 or less suggests a game that is perhaps the most troubled of all Nintendo's first party releases on this generation of consoles.

Although there are a few critics and still a number of end-users that rated the game between seven and 10 out of 10, a good number, including those dedicated to Nintendo products, rated it at seven or below. IGN gave it 6.5 out of ten, calling it a game that is catering to children and adults with a few drinks in them only.

The problem, according to others, like Game Trailers, it's possible to actually win the game without trying at all, suggesting that the mini-games are pointless and skilless.

The worst review however comes from Digital Spy, which suggests that the all-too-few fun minigames are easily missed out on and that the rest of the game is unlikely to hold your attention. Ultimately, it gave the game a 4/10.
