Next Gears Of War Is Still A Concept But Will Surely Have Colors

In a livestream session, Black Tusk Studios manager Rod Fergusson said that the next Gears of War is still nothing more than an unnamed concept or prototype. Nonetheless, he's sure it'll end up having more colors than brown.

"It's only been a hundred days so I can't go into a lot of depth into a lot of things," he explained. "So this isn't going to be the place where I'm going to announce the name of the next game or all these sorts of things. I mean, obviously it's going to take some time to get to a point where we can do stuff like that ... We are in what we would call the concept/prototype phase."

When asked about the advantages of having a new team work on the game under Microsoft's control, Fergusson answered that "I think one of the things that's really great is we've got the backing and support of Microsoft which means we're able to push a lot harder in a lot of bigger areas. I think the franchise can do a lot more now that Microsoft owns the IP, we can expand its breadth and do a lot more stuff with it."

And the first thing in the new stuff should be an expanded color pallet. "Apparently there are colors," assured Fergusson. "We will have colors."
