NotifyWire, an online retailer monitoring service, is reporting that the launch honeymoon may already be over for Sony and its PS3 console.
NotifyWire is reporting that the high price of the PS3 console and the various bundle offers have alienated consumers who appear weary of the product and its promises.
I think we're already at the point where people won't pay a premium for the console or be forced into buying bundles, said Ian Drake, President of NotifyWire. Mr. Drake also mentioned that an online USD 1,000 bundle PS3 offer was available online for over 12 hours while, Last year we tracked several one thousand dollar Xbox 360 bundles which would sell out in less than two minutes...
NotifyWire, of course, used the occasion to advertise their own service which informs consumers when a desired product is available from online retailers. The service will now have to back-up its claims by providing access to PS3 consoles for those who want to get their hands on one without having to navigate the eBay minefield.
