Next new vehicle coming to Battlegrounds is a VW minivan

Break out the biofuel boys and girls, it’s time we took a more passive approach to winning our next chicken dinner. The next vehicle to be introduced to PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds is the classic hippy vehicle, the Volkswagon minivan. It might not be stylish, it might not be fast, but it can pack you and a few friends inside with plenty of window room for shooting out of.

Announced during a recent Reddit ask me anything with PlayerUnknown himself, Brendan Greene, there are actually thee new vehicles coming to Battlegrounds in the near future, but the first will be the iconic minivan. Ok, if you’re being realistic, the van itself isn’t VW branded — Battlegrounds doesn’t need licensed vehicles — but much like GTA’s counterparts, this one looks close enough to the real deal that we know exactly what it’s supposed to be.

It hasn’t been made clear when we can expect this new vehicle to show up, but considering it’s the first and appears to be looking rather spiffy in the game world itself, we wouldn’t be surprised if it showed up in one of the upcoming monthly updates.

There was a lot that came to light during Greene’s AMA, as VG247 highlights. Alongside new vehicles, we learned he was keen to add a single-player campaign mode to it at some point, as well as making a few tweaks to the Blue Zone.
