Dark Souls Trilogy collectors edition will cost $500

A collectors edition of the Dark Souls Trilogy is coming in May this year and although it comes with a lot of neat features, extras, additions, and treats for the discerning buyer, it will set you back $500, or as much as £450 if you live in the UK.

Set to go on sale on May 31, the Dark Souls Trilogy Collectors Edition will include all three of the Dark Souls games and all of their DLC for both the PS4 and the Xbox One — should you need both, for some reason. It also comes with expansions and recreations, like Dark Souls Remastered, Dark Souls II: Scholar of the First Sin, Dark Souls III: The Fire Fades, and every piece of DLC content ever released for any of the games.

On top of the games and expansions, there is also a full soundtrack of all games that comes as six CDs — do you even have a CD player anymore? THere's also a 460-page Dark Souls art book which contains fully illustrated maps, boss and NPC drawings and locations, an item encyclopedia, a bestiary of enemies, bosses, and a manuscript of dialogue from each game.

The big centerpiece of the whole collection is the Elite Knight at the bonfire statue, which measures a full 27.5cm in height.

There will be 2,000 copies in total, so even at $500, if you want one, you may need to get in there quick when they go on sale. You could pre-order one now, but we would never advise you pre-order anything, even if scarcity is a problem.
