Dauntless alpha sign ops open for April testing

Dauntless alpha sign ops open for April testing

If like many Monster Hunter fans, you're tired of waiting for another big release from the franchise on anything other than a portable console, then Dauntless might be what you need to get you through the year. It's an upcoming, boss monster hunting game developed by newly formed Phoenix Labs, which was founded by ex-Riot developers.

The game is set for a release in 2017 sometime, but when exactly is anyone's guess. If you can't wait for that future date, there is an alpha testing period set to begin in April this year and signups are now open to join.

If you want to sign up, head here.

You'll be asked what kind of games you like, what sort of times you can play and whether you work for any publications or websites which could conceivably give publicity to the game.

Chances are if you say you like Monster Hunter and Souls-alike games, you'll have a better chance of getting in, so consider doing so if you really want to get into this one.

Dauntless is very much like those titles, on the surface at least, so if you do like playing those, then there's going to be a lot you like about Dauntless. It has big boss battles, crafting, exploration, an open world instancing system and exciting class options.

Better yet, the monsters don't have health bars. This is an exciting looking game and if you want to join in with testing it, sign up now to have the best chance of playing in April.
