Wii U Eshop Goes Super With Retro Games

Nintendo is expanding its retro gaming support on the Wii U by bringing some of its more famous titles from the Super Nintendo era. The 3DS is getting a look in too with a few ports coming over from the old school game catalog.

The three big names to make the list, are Super Metroid, Super Ghouls and Ghosts and Mega Man 5. However they aren't the only ones, there's also some new appearances from more modern titles, like Lego Batman 2 and Resident Evil Revelations.

Here's the list:

    Wii U
  • Super Metroid
  • Resident Evil: Revelations
  • LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes
  • 3DS eShop

  • Mega Man 5
  • Swords & Soldiers 3D
  • The Starship Damrey )
  • Bowling Bonanza 3D
  • Dress to Play: Magic Bubbles
  • Harvest Moon

Nintendo has been badly struggling with the Wii U as of late and its latest targeting of Youtube let's play producers isn't going to help things.

Do you guys think any of these Wii U titles will help sway people into buying one of the ill-fated consoles?

Retro Games

Everyone knows the Wii U has next to no games. So they think adding all these old games from the 90's will make people want to go out and buy one. Sorry Nintendo, this just proves your companies to lazy to hire enough coders to make games in a timely fashion. No one wants to play your old *******games on a NEW CONSOLE and secondly Nintendo people are getting tired of playing the same ******* games over and over. Zelda, Mario Metroid. How many ******* times do we got to rescue that ***** in your Mario Games. Get that ***** a body guard already. Anyways, **** the WII U console it has next to no games. Go buy an Xbox 360 and let this *******worthless console die.

Blah blah Nintendo are crap

Blah blah Nintendo are crap and I have no valid argument. Blah blah Sony suck. Blah blah I love taking it up the **** from Microsoft. Blah blah Microsoft haven't rebooted any arcade games.......... Get a girlfriend, get a job, leave your basement and enjoy life.
You voted 'no'.

No, it does no cost anything

No, it does no cost anything to emulate these games. They are making out like "oh we are doing you a favor providing you with old classics" when all they need to do is resell the same game as they did a decade ago. It is not innovation. Good bye nintendo, you are clueless!!

It's funny how at some point

It's funny how at some point kids lost sight (or never had such sight) of what's legal and whats not. Regardless once you have a good job you don't mind shelling out a few bucks for aa retro game. Convenience is one of the primary uses of money once your survival needs have been met, if not THE primary use. So chill out kid, these games are not meant for you and your ilk.

It's always possible. You had to actually been around those days to play these older games to really appreciate them now. So, yeah. More mature people could be purchasing quite a bit more with such titles to offer.
