The Easy Weapon Sharpening mod simplifies the sharpening minigame in Of Ash and Steel without completely removing the need for skill. It removes penalties for mistakes, ensuring that pressing the wrong button no longer resets your progress. Additionally, it allows any power level to count as a correct hit, meaning you no longer need to land perfectly in the “sweet spot” to sharpen your gear effectively. While it makes the process much more forgiving, your character’s actual sharpening skill still determines the maximum quality you can achieve.

No Progress Loss: Pressing the wrong button during the minigame will not decrease your progress bar.

How to Install

Download the Easy Weapon Sharpening mod file.
Navigate to your game installation folder (e.g., in Steam, right-click the game → Manage → Browse Local Files).
Go to ofAshAndSteelGame\Content\Paks\.
Create a new folder named ~mods inside the Paks directory (if it doesn’t already exist).
Copy the EasySharpening_P.pak file into this new ~mods folder.
Launch the game. The sharpening minigame will now be much easier to handle!
