Halo 5 Protagonist May Fight Master Chief

Microsoft has aired two live-action trailers for Halo 5: Guardians, implying that the game’s new protagonist will have a face-off with Master Chief himself.

The first trailer aired during the first commercial break in The Walking Dead. The trailer featured the series’ new protagonist, Jameson Locke, confronting Master Chief’s while aiming a gun at his head.

The second trailer aired during the last commercial break in the same episode of The Walking Dead. It showed the same scene with roles reversed whereas Master Chief was the one holding a gun to Locke’s head.

According to the game description released by Microsoft, Halo 5 takes place after Master went missing and Jameson Locke was “tasked with hunting the Master Chief and solving a mystery that threatens the entire galaxy.”

Halo 5: Guardians is scheduled for release on October 27th, 2015.
