Garfield – Escape from Monday
Garfield – Escape from Monday comes from developer OSome Studio and publisher Microids. The game released on September 24, 2026 for PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch. Players guide the laziest cat in the world through a food-themed nightmare in a 3D platformer.
About the Game
Garfield – Escape from Monday starts on an ordinary Monday night. First, Jon serves a spinach lasagna that follows Chef Monday’s recipe. Then Garfield falls into a deep sleep and loses his sense of taste. As a result, he must explore dream worlds filled with enemies and eat a huge amount of lasagna. Meanwhile, Jon and friends such as Odie, Arlene, and Pookie help along the way.
A board-game-style overworld lets players choose levels. Most stages use full 3D, but some switch to side-scrolling 2D. Additionally, most enemies fall to a single hit, so frequent checkpoints keep mistakes cheap. However, opinions on the platforming split sharply at launch. Overall, the game targets Garfield fans and younger players.
Key Features
- Move Like a Cat: Garfield can jump, climb walls, and curl into a ball. Furthermore, swimming and ground pounds round out his moves.
- Three Costumes: The turkey suit allows brief flight. Additionally, the surfer suit rides over water and grinds on rails, while the cowboy suit swings across gaps with a lasso.
- A Familiar Cast: Jon, Odie, and Pookie help during the quest. However, archenemies Nermal and Squeak stand in the way.
- Lasagna Collectibles: Every level hides slices of lasagna. As a result, collecting them unlocks furniture for Jon’s apartment.
