Survival Log comes from developer Midnight Workshop and publisher Lilith Games. The game released on August 12, 2026 for PC. Players get ten hours to prepare before a zombie outbreak hits the city. After that, the goal shifts to holding a fortified home.

About the Game

Survival Log splits each run into two phases. First, players race through city locations such as supermarkets, hardware stores, and farmers’ markets. Time and money run short, so every purchase trades food and water against shelter upgrades. Meanwhile, a Loot Spotter inventory system shows what players have gathered and what is still missing. Then the outbreak begins, and the home takes center stage.

The second phase turns the safe house into a growing stronghold. Players expand the house floor by floor with living quarters, storage, power generation, and farming areas. Additionally, they grow crops, cook meals, and keep hunger, stamina, and morale in check. Rain, freezing cold, and blackouts add pressure, so preparation matters. However, zombies are not the only threat in the ruins. Because failure carries over as experience, each new run starts stronger.

Pre-Outbreak Hoarding: Players scour supermarkets, hardware stores, and farmers’ markets before the outbreak. Limited time and money force hard choices, so food, water, shelter, and fuel compete for every dollar. The Loot Spotter then points out gaps in the stockpile.
Home Building: Players design the safe house layout from scratch. They scavenge or buy furniture, appliances, and building materials, then install and upgrade fixtures. As a result, the house can grow floor by floor.
Stronghold Management: Farming, cooking, and power keep the base running. Players choose diesel, manual generators, or solar to supply electricity. Meanwhile, traps and fortifications hold back endless zombie hordes.
Rebirth and Survivors: Failure gives experience, so each new run starts with the protagonist’s memories. Players choose a past identity such as worker, student, or warehouse clerk. Additionally, they rescue stranded neighbors and trade with survivors by drone.
