Resident Evil Requiem normally requires returning to the main menu to access bonus settings for costumes, sounds, filters, and other unlockables, which interrupts pacing and experimentation mid-campaign. The Change Costume In-Game mod restores the bonus settings button directly to the pause menu, allowing you to change costumes and other bonus options without leaving your current run. Furthermore, the stable v1.1 main file integrates cleanly with REFramework and Fluffy Mod Manager, while an optional experimental version can refresh Leon and Grace’s outfits immediately after selection. Consequently, you can swap looks, audio, and visual filters on the fly while staying immersed in the level you are playing.

What’s Included

  • A bonus settings button added to the pause menu, exposing costumes, music, sound effects, filters, and other bonus toggles mid-game.
  • Stable main version where costume changes apply after a level restart, save reload, or character/protagonist switch, while audio and other options update instantly.
  • Compatibility with Leon Must Die Forever mode, where bonus settings are accessible and costume changes apply after completing a level.
  • Optional experimental version that auto-refreshes Grace and Leon’s outfits immediately after selection, eliminating the need to restart levels at the cost of potential bugs.

Why You Need This Mod

This mod is useful if you like to swap costumes frequently or test different filters and sound options without breaking flow by returning to the main menu. Having bonus settings in the pause menu keeps utility features like costume changes aligned with modern QoL expectations while staying within the game’s existing UI. Additionally, the split between stable and experimental versions lets you choose between maximum reliability and immediate visual updates depending on your tolerance for minor issues.

How to Get Started

  1. Install REFramework from the linked nightly builds if you have not already.
  2. Launch the game and ensure LooseFileLoader is enabled in the REFramework tab (press Insert if the tab does not appear automatically).
  3. Download Fluffy Mod Manager and extract it to your PC.
  4. Place the mod archive into the Mods folder inside Fluffy’s directory.
  5. Open Fluffy Mod Manager, refresh the mod list if needed, switch to the RE Framework tab, and enable the Change Costume In-Game mod.
  6. Launch Resident Evil Requiem from the manager, pause the game, and confirm that a Bonus Settings button appears in the pause menu.
  7. Use the bonus settings to change costumes, sounds, filters, and other options mid-level; remember that costumes update after a restart or character switch in the stable build.
  8. To uninstall, disable the mod in Fluffy Mod Manager or remove the archive from its Mods folder.
