Subnautica 2’s Scanner Station reaches a useful area by default, but the standard range can still feel limiting when you are trying to search a wider region. The Scanner Station Range Extender mod increases that range to a configurable value and sets it to 500 meters by default. Furthermore, it runs through UE4SS and includes source files in the download. Consequently, the Scanner Station becomes far more practical for broad-area searching.

How to Get Started

Download the mod archive and extract it to your PC.
Download and install UE4SS for Subnautica 2 if you have not already.
Open your Subnautica 2 installation folder and navigate to:
Subnautica2\Subnautica2\Binaries\Win64\ue4ss\Mods\

Copy the ScannerStationRangeExtender folder into the Mods directory.
If you want a different range, edit config.lua inside the mod’s files before launching.
Launch Subnautica 2. The extended scanner range applies automatically.
To uninstall, delete the ScannerStationRangeExtender folder from the Mods directory.
