Activision is bringing micro transaction to Call of Duty
In his latest blog post, Activision community manager Dan Amrich revealed that, starting today, Call of Duty: Black Ops II map “Nuketown 2025” will be available on Xbox Live for free along with several purchasable “micro items.”
The micro itoms include gun personalization packs, extra loadout slots, more media storage for theater mode and a “Nuketown Zombies” level. Price differs from item to item, but it will range from $1 to $5.
Activision is using this item pack to see how gamers would react to micro transactions in hardcore console games. If everything goes smooth, expect to see more micro transactions in Activision’s games.
