Gizmondo Gets Email Upgrade

Gizmondo confirmed that a downloadable software upgrade will be offered, enabling the new handheld multi-entertainment device to send and receive emails wirelessly via GRPS.

In addition to text and picture messaging (SMS and MMS) functionality, users will be able to configure their POP3/IMAP accounts on the Gizmondo giving them email access on the move anywhere in the world covered by tri-band GPRS.
