First PS3 Screenshots Possessed

The first in-game screenshots of a game developed for the Playstation 3 have been released and they are impressive. We say PS3 since game media outlets seem to agree that Sony's console is the source, even though Possession (the game concerned) is also under development for the XBox 2/360 and for the PC. On the run up to E3 Microsoft has managed to pull all the stops in order to have the gamer's gaze fixed on its XBox 2/360. So much so in fact, that another console competitor and PR veteran has been, somewhat sidelined. Knowing Sony's PR pedigree however, we doubt that staying quiet is not part of its strategy for now. It seems that Sony may be waiting for the US giant to stop screaming and may modify its product appropriately in order to better position its console in the market. Part of the appeal of the Cell design is its flexibility and that would suggest that Sony may have a lot of leg-room for changes depending on pricing restrictions and on competitor products. Expect more surprises fom Sony at E3 this month, it is going to be showcasing the PS3 then after all.

Blitz games, developers of Possession describe the technology that will be utilized by the game as We've got technology that will allow for many, many zombies and humans swarming the streets. You can maim and decapitate them when and where you fancy, and they'll all accurately reflect the damage inflicted. Zombies will lose skin and body parts in real-time, revealing individual gore patterns.

Environmental destruction will also be high on the agenda. We want to turn a modern American city into a virtual war zone of destruction, with the streets degrading as the battle progresses. We've got the next-generation technology to show this on a scale that's never been seen before.

Blitz Games also claims that Possession will offer some interesting gameplay techniques The over-riding theme will be carnage at all costs! Using a fast-action point and shoot interface, you'll experiment with your zombie horde and the zombie mutations to create real-time emergent strategies, selecting targets - an enemy or interactive element - and quick firing zombie commands at it. In addition the Enslaver can easily attack, jump, defend, run and interact with objects while simultaneously issuing commands.

And i hope u know, with the new consoles that have g70's, and r520's and cell processors etc, this isnt going to be no $200-$300 anymore...its gonna be quite a bit higher than that...Yes i have a ton of copied pc games, but not even CLOSE to how many copied games u have for xbox and ps2. I think you refer to playing in a couch... let me explain, TVs usually have a couch or common area in front of them that is confortable enough to watch a movie and dont fell the pain associated with sitting in a desk with your hand recieving stress from the position you asume while using a PC. Back, neck, wrists and other pains in some years you will face.controllers or "pads" fit ERGONOMICALLY your hands in order to have all the needed features at the touch of a button. not have 104 keys in witch 90% are useless."and wtf does halo have to do with aiming with 2 analog sticks? Even if I have a ton of games I dont play entirely all of them. The vast majority are originals minus some obscure japanese releases that unless you DL them you have to pay $100 from an importer.The same happens to XBOX. I use Xbox Live quite a lot and let me tell you is far better and organized than any network option a PC game have. All the online titles, a single network.In PC you pay $12.95 for a single title montly while Xbox live is $39.95 for ALL the games for A YEAR.Having a single propietary console is also good becasue you get organized and developers alwyas do tricks to get the most of the avaiable technology. PCs throw new card every 6 montys and developers get lazy. They can program to get the most out of a moderate PC but BIG BUCKS from ATI/ NVIDIA just dont get the most of them.The PC market is very expensive and with the new market model will get even more expansive...If you want PC thats your problem. Lets see how far you can stretch your dollar in order to play "the way it was meant to be played"...

king cobra, u dont understand the concept about a pc. Its not just for playing games, but all the games are better for PC if u have them. I dont care about sitting on a couch, my really nice comfy chair is just perfect. And the Halo thing, u made it sound like Halo is the only game that uses 2 anaolog sticks or something... I know how u move, i DO have an xbox and halo u retard. And for the new equipment on a pc, its worth it, because there are so many more things a pc can do. When u buy a game now days, games that are on consoles and pc either have better gfx for a pc cause its better, or the gfx are held back because the consoles suck. and the 12.95 a month, u only have to pay that for MMO's, something consoles dont have. ANY other online game is free to play as long as u have internet connection. Xbox Live is just a really gay way to make money by making u pay to have u play a game online...once again, u dont have to do that for PC games, its $0.00 a month and $0.00 a year to play a NORMAL game

Some awesome games for the PC.Civilization 1,2,3,doom,1,2,3,quake,1,2,3,unreal tournament whole package,delta force,joint operations,black hawk,half life 2,almost all F1,tdm 1,2,gta all,serious sam,simcity all,caesar 1,2,3 duke nukem,command&conquer,even mortal combat looks and plays much better as on 16 bit consoles,there are also plenty of emulators which can emulate the games perfectly well,and with tv out and a firestorm they gave the same feeling as you would play it on a console with the difference that you can store all roms on a single cd,yayks.Not to mention that internet sucks balls on a console ass the movies and the music.Consoles are just shity castrated pc's for the dumb mob.
