About the Game

Backrooms: Escape Together builds its horror around photorealistic, unsettling environments rather than jump scares alone. Players start in the familiar yellow halls of Level 0 before descending through 11 procedurally generated levels, each with its own layout, puzzles, lootable items, and hostile entities. Since rooms and item spawns regenerate after every death or playthrough, no run through a level ever plays out the same way twice.

Every entity encountered behaves differently, reacting to specific triggers or player behavior, so survival depends on learning each threat rather than relying on a single strategy. Proximity voice chat adds a social layer to the horror, carrying screams and panicked reactions down the halls as a group pushes deeper together. The developers have continued expanding the level roster throughout Early Access, working toward a long-term goal of a nonlinear web of levels with multiple possible endings.
