Context-Aware Taunts: The system instantly detects an NPC’s state. For instance, it knows if they are writhing in pain or cowering, and plays a matching line.

Provoke Mechanic: Taunting now has a tactical purpose. Specifically, there is a configurable chance (default 35%) that a taunt will enrage an enemy, forcing them to charge you.
Extensive Library: The mod includes over 2,000 curated voice lines. This vast collection features gender-specific insults and unique gang dialogue.
Fully Configurable: You can easily adjust settings via an INI file. Thus, you have full control over activation distance, cooldowns, and provoke chances.

Additional Details

Character Support: The mod fully supports both protagonists. Both Arthur and John have their own unique set of lines.
Requirements: You must install ScriptHookRDR2 V2. Furthermore, the mod requires an updated dinput8.dll (Ultimate ASI Loader) to prevent black screen errors.
Best Practices: We recommend using this with “Ped Damage Overhaul.” This combination extends dying states, so you have more opportunities to use injury-specific taunts.

How to Install

First, download and install ScriptHookRDR2 V2 if you haven’t already.
Next, download the Taunts mod file.
Extract the Taunts.asi and Taunts.ini files from the archive.
Then, drop both files into your main Red Dead Redemption 2 game folder.
Crucial Step: Ensure you use the latest dinput8.dll. Also, delete old loaders like version.dll or dsound.dll to avoid crashes.
Finally, launch the game and press Y (Controller) or E (Keyboard) while aiming at an NPC to test it!
