Dark Souls 3 was recently live streamed to a few lucky individuals, with the express idea that they would keep it all under wraps. That's a nice, cosy way to look at the world, but of course one of those in attendance wanted a few internet points for themselves and recorded a few minutes of gameplay.
One of the most obvious aspects of the game is that Dark Souls is starting to look quite good these days, though it retains much of the grey aesthetic and chunky menu of the original games.
Text in-game and the commentary track are all in Japanese though, so unless you're a fluent speaker, don't expect to crib much about what's going on from that, but the action is nonetheless impressive and shows that the parts of the game people know and love - the gruelling combat and pattern recognition are all still there.
You masochist.
Dark Souls III is set for release on March 24 on Xbox One, PS4 and Windows PCs
