Fortnite Battle Royale introduces limited 50 vs 50 mode

If you don't like playing alone in Fortnite's Battle Royale mode or find squad-play is a little too restrictive, how about joining an army? The newest game mode to join Fortnight's open-world Battle Royale gameplay is a massive 50 vs 50 war.

In this mode you'll be part of one of two teams who are battling it out across the landscape in epic conflicts. Massive firefights will take place, players will be saved from behind enemy lines and mega-structures will be built. The question is, can you help take your team to victory when there are 50 other people trying to gun you down?

There are a few special rules in this game mode to make sure everyone has the most fun possible. There's no friendly fire, limited visibility on non-squad members, squad VOIP only, you can revive any friendly teammates and you won't see non-squad teammates until you land.

Other than that it's a 50vs50 war.

This represents the first timed mode in Fortnite and for now Epic Games is saying that it will be available from today through December 17. You know damn well though that if it proves popular it will stay available for some time to come, or will return after some tweaks.

For now though, if you want to try it out and enjoy it while it definitely is here and available, get on this weekend and give it a good play. You don't have long to enjoy it.
