Iwata: 3DS Games Price Not Too Far From Current DS Prices

Developing stereoscopic 3D games for Nintendo's upcoming 3DS handheld might be more costly for the publishers and developers, but luckily for us this isn't likely to reflect on the games' pricing; or at least that's what Nintendo President Satoru Iwata believes.

"We don't believe that the world is in a state where high priced software will sell well, so we don't believe it will be in a price range too far off from current DS software," he explained during an investor's Q&A.

MSRP for 3rd party DS games falls between $20 and $30 for boxed games at launch and less than $12 for digital downloads.
