MSI launches first RTX 2070 for ITX builds

If you like your gaming power to come from small form-factor systems, then MSI's new ITX-orientated GPU, the RTX 2070 Aero ITX, could be the perfect next buy for you. It's absolutely miniature, and yet packs all of the Turing GPU, RT Cores and Tensor cores of a full-scale RTX 2070, behind a single fan and whopping heatsink. The only real difference between this and a full-size RTX 2070 (other than the size) is that it comes without the VirtualLink USB-C VR headset connector, and it lacks an NVLink connector, but you're not going to be doing multi-card gaming in an ITX build anyhow.

The card still comes with a trio of DisplayPort connectors, and a single HDMI 2.0 connection, which gives it plenty of connectivity options. It's cooled by a single impeller fan built to MSI's Aero specifications and has a copper-pipe-fed heatsink with a large array of aluminum fins, as per WCCFTech.

Despite its diminutive size, the card still only requires 175w of power and is still clocked at reference speeds, so should be comparable in performance to the average reference 2070. You'll want to make sure your case has some good ventilation though, as this card is likely to get rather warm in cramped confines.

We don't know as of yet when the MSI Aero ITX is set to release, nor how much it will cost, but if previous small cards have been anything to go by, it could actually be quite cost-effective. While it is a specialized SKU, it does use fewer materials than your average RTX 2070, so there are some cost savings to be made.
