Titanfall has sniping, no quick scoping

While you can debate the merits of big contemporary shooters like Call of Duty Ghosts and Battlefield 4, one tactic that a lot of people don't like in any of them, is quick scoping and no scoping. Fortunately for those worried about these same tactics being used in the Windows and Xbox exclusive, Titanfall, it's now been confirmed they won't work.

"Sniping is in the game, but due to how the game plays it's a pretty different animal than you'll find in your run of the mill modern military shooter. Quick scoping and no scoping are ineffective," said Respawn developer, scriptacus on the official forums.

Some of the speculated ways sniping could be implemented to make these tactics "ineffective," include sniper rifles being click and hold charges, like the rail guns seen in other shooters.

Others have suggested sniper riles just might not be as powerful as the one-shot killers we've seen in other games, but for now we only have the one quote to go on.

Titanfall is set for release on March 11th on Xbox 360, Xbox One and PC in North America and everywhere else by the 14th.
