Every clan in feudal Japan wants the shogun’s seat, and yours starts with a few provinces and a thin treasury. Armies, fleets, and agents all have limited movement each turn, so slow marches cost whole seasons.
Construction, recruitment, and research queues stretch across many turns. Generals and agents also earn skill points and ranks, which slowly turn rookies into veterans.
