Quick Game Info: ---------------- Type: Puzzle/Strategy game (exercise your brain) Controls: keyboard/mouse Graphics: 16 colour vga Install: I just did a subst install Megs: requires 0.5 megs free to install Keys When you Start the game: ----------------------------- As soon as the title screen comes up you will be confronted by what seems like an endless chain of title screen and credit listings. You can quickly skip this junk by escape once to get to the following menu: S - Start the game E - Editor I - Instructions Escape/Q - Quit to DOS Keys during the game: --------------------- Space - pause Escape - end current game F10/Q - quit to DOS L - load your own level set Editor Keys: ------------ F8 - Clear level J/Space - toggle between edit/choose piece mode C - clear piece under cursor + - next level - - previous level Game Play: ---------- -You must remove all the tiles on each level to advance to the next. Tiles are removed by clicking on two matching blocks. The matching blocks must be free to move to each other. A block is free to move if there is a clear vertical, horizontal, or 90% path between the two matching blocks. e.g ---> or or --- or <--- etc. ^ | | | |/ | -To remove blocks click on the two matching blocks. Click on the second block again to confirm the removal process. While the block is moving on the screen you can start selecting another pair to remove right away. Strategy: --------- -If there are only two remaining blocks of a certain pattern remaining on the board you should always remove them since leaving them on the board serves absolutely no strategic purpose and will usually unblock some more possible moves. -If you can eliminate all of the blocks of a certain pattern without removing any blocks of another pattern then remove them. This is the key strategy in the game since it frees up the board and doesn't involve moving any other pieces. Always look for a situation where you can apply this and the above strategies since it will greatly improve your game play. -Every time you are about to remove a pair from the board make sure that you can visualize a way to match up the remaining pairs. Sometimes there will be one or two pieces that can only match with specific pieces due to obstacles on the board or the way the pieces are intermixed. Your anti-virus software and web browser may detect them as malware (viruses, worms, trojans, bots etc.).
This is almost always a false alarm.
