The Ocean Battle is one of those exceptional games which make you wonder why they are freeware. The game offers an amazing simulation of an air battle during war-time and completely immerses you in its scenario. The 3D environment and models are extremely well made and the gameplay is engaging.
The game has three missions.
Mission 1 involves dogfights. Once you have gotten rid of your airborne enemies you can progress to Mission 2. In Mission 2 your aim is to destroy ground obstacles and avoid getting hit, so that you can move on to ...Mission 3, in which you have to destroy the enemies main Battle Ship.
What's the catch I hear you say... Well it's an obstacle rather than a catch, the game menu and intro are in Japanese.
However, this game is too good to be missed for such a minor reason. It is very playable even if you don't speak a word of Japanese. In order to help you out here is a list of the controls:

Target Acquisition-----------------Arrow-icon at the top of the screen.

to run the game you must extract the lzh file... use winrar or winace or some similar program to do so.... from there its self explanatoryHowever, i still have not found out how to fire the frickin missiles and it's pissing me off!!!

nevermind... i figured out how to fire missiles after looking through the included help files and messing around in the game...To fire missiles:You must have target acquisition (the crosshair's turn red and it says Lock On) then simply press M. Don't use missiles in close range combat, just use your cannon

just go to [url removed] search for ultimate zip and download it. Then install and open it. Drage the zip file into the open browser of Ulimate zip. Click on extract and use just like in WinZip

Had no problem downloading,if anyone else is type ultimate zip in your browser and download ultimate zip 2.7 then download the game and open it with the ultimate extractor to wherever you please,but I do need help I cant figure out how to fire missles.Otherwise this is an impressive game for freeware.
