Easy Money in Sandheim:
When you first arrive with Jerald in Sandheim go to the tent in the south east corner of town. There you will find a man playing a game with his back to you. Pick his pocket to earn 100 GP and then exit the town. You can keep returning and repeatedly pick the mans pockets until you have enough money to buy equipment you might need before attempting a mission.
