7 Days to Die Craft From Containers Mod v1.2.0
Carrying all your resources to a workstation before crafting is a constant friction point in 7 Days to Die, especially when your base storage is well organized. The Craft From Containers mod lets you craft directly from nearby storage containers without first moving materials into your backpack. Furthermore, as of v1.2.0 the mod supports both single and multiplayer, including dedicated servers. Consequently, the whole setup benefits your base building workflow without changing any other game system.
What’s Included
- Craft from materials stored in containers within a configurable range (default 15 blocks).
- Locked containers are excluded by default to protect personal storage.
- Containers labeled with
**anywhere in their name are excluded by default. - Both the exclusion label text and range are fully configurable in
config.json. - Multiplayer and dedicated server support added in v1.2.0.
Why You Need This Mod
This mod is useful if you maintain organized base storage and want to avoid constantly shuttling items to your inventory just to start a recipe. The label-based exclusion system also gives you a clean way to protect specific containers from being drawn from without needing to lock them. Additionally, the exclusion string is configurable so you can use any marker that fits your labeling convention.

Good to Know
- Requires 7 Days to Die V3.0 (b252 or newer) and Easy Anti-Cheat disabled.
- Multiplayer and dedicated server support is functional but marked experimental.
- Mods that heavily alter the crafting interface, recipe calculations, container systems, or player inventory methods may conflict.
- Do not set the range extremely high. Very large values pull in hundreds of containers at once and can impact CPU performance.
