Gothic 1 Remake Rich Merchants Mod v1.0.1
Gothic 1 Remake’s merchants can run out of ore early in the game, which makes selling loot frustrating and leaves ranged builds struggling to keep arrows and bolts stocked. The Rich Merchants mod gives every trader a larger supply of ore, arrows, and bolts by a configurable multiplier, defaulting to 3x. Furthermore, the mod is purely runtime and modifies nothing on disk, so it is fully save-safe and reversible. Consequently, merchants stay useful as both buyers and sellers across the whole game without breaking the economy.
What’s Included
- Tripled ore, arrows, and bolts at every trader by default.
- Configurable multipliers per resource in
config.lua. - Smart logic that never reduces a merchant who is already above the target.
- Idempotent stacking prevention so the multiplier never compounds on reload or chapter restocks.
- Optional console commands
rm_applyandrm_statusfor testing. - No game files modified. Save-safe and fully reversible.
Why You Need This Mod
This mod is useful if you find merchants drying up before you have sold half your inventory, or if a ranged playthrough leaves you short on ammo too often. It also removes the need to hike between multiple camps just to offload loot. Additionally, the per-resource config gives you precise control if you only want to adjust one type of stock without changing the others.
