Gothic 1 Remake’s in-game map lacks detail on NPC locations, cave entrances, creature habitats, and climbing routes, which makes navigation and planning harder than it needs to be. The World Map with Markers mod replaces the base map with a 4K resolution version overlaid with color-coded markers covering all three main camps and the surrounding areas. Furthermore, it ships in three variants so you can choose between full markers, a subtler version, or NPC labels only. Consequently, navigating the colony becomes far more intuitive without requiring an external reference.
Marker Color Guide

🟢 Green — Main Camps
🔵 Blue — Caves
🔴 Red — Creatures
🟠 Orange — Wall Climb locations
White / Black / Yellow text — Other named locations

Available Variants

Markers And NPCs — Full color-coded markers and NPC positions. Recommended for most players.
Markers (Subtle) And NPCs — Same coverage with black text and translucent markers for a less intrusive look.
NPCs Only (No Markers) — Just NPC locations added to the three main camp maps.

How to Get Started

Download your preferred variant and extract it to your PC.
Create a ~Mods folder at the following path if it does not exist:
Gothic 1 Remake\G1R\Content\Paks\~Mods\

Move the 3 extracted asset files into the ~Mods folder.
Launch the game and open the map. The new map and markers load automatically.
To uninstall, delete the asset files from the ~Mods folder.
