Life is Strange was a darling of point and click fans when it was released in 2015, taking the Telltale adventure game formula and tweaking it to become a more intuitive and contemporary experience. There hasn't been much in the way of news about the game since its finale though, which is why it's so exciting to hear from the creators at Dontnod Entertainment, that a new game based on the same characters is in the works.
"We can indeed confirm that the original Life is Strange team at DONTNOD are working on a brand new Life is Strange game," it said in a post. "We can’t wait to tell you all about it when the time is right, but for now we are hard at work ensuring it is the very best game we can create."
Details on the game itself remain rather thin on the ground for now, but they do come alongside the news that three million copies of Life is Strange have been sold, which is far more than the developers ever expected and it's no doubt part of the reason that a new game is being made.
What we do know, is that the game won't be showcased at E3 this year, so we'll have to wait longer than June to find out more about it. However, we're promised new information in the near future, so watch this space for updates on the game, which for now we can safely call Life is Strange 2.
