Here Is A Footage Of Canceled Gears Of War Kinect-Based RTS

Microsoft has tried and failed to create a Kinect-based Real Time Strategy game in the Gears of War universe on Xbox 360.

VGLeaks managed to put their hands on the first – and probably last – Gears Of War: Tactics gameplay video. The video showcases how a player used Kinect’s gestures to control a 4-persons team as they battle enemies through a destroyed urban environment.

The game reached prototype phase before Microsoft quietly canceled it. Perhaps this shouldn’t really be a surprise given how sporadic Kinect 1 control was.
