The best Warhammer battle simulator to date, Total War: Warhammer, is now more customisable than ever, thanks to the creation of a new battle map editing tool. Called Terry, for some reason, the tool lets you create entirely new maps out of existing resources, building difficult to assault castles, wide open plains and dense, dark forests to brawl it out in using your massed ranks of infantry, monstrous flying creatures and super powered heroes.
As well as crafting the world for humans to battle it out on too, you can set them up to be AI compatible also, adding in hints for where they should move their troops, deployment zones to limit movement and areas where nobody can pass - except those flying creatures of course.
Once you've built the map of your dreams, all you need do is export it and share it on the Stem Workshop if you want others to try it out.
If you like the sound of all of this, PCGamesN talks you through the process of signing up to the beta to gain access to the tool.
Unfortunately it is limited in that you can't use the maps for campaign play, nor can you create campaign maps. The reasoning behind that is because Creative Assembly used some third party tools in the creation of its campaign system and without them, it would need to create whole new tools for players to use, which it doesn't have the time or resources for.
