why are some people like leaky pen so passionately pro Nvidea and anti ATI. Look if it wasn't for ATI then Nvidea wouldn't be trying to catch up and then ATI wouldn't be trying to get ahead and that would mean we would have inferior but much more expensive gfx cards. It is called competition and it has been fantastic for us gamers, just like the AMD/Intel war which has seen pcs reach specs we only used to dream of.I have the best card money can buy at the moment and it produces gorgeous graphics and no game I have lags at all at full spec. Now in 6 months time this card will be about half the price because ATI will be pushing 9800 and Nvidea the FX. But games will have hardly changed and so more and more will be able to see just how good the 9700 pro is. anonymous what the hell are you on about? how long do you want a card to last for goodness sake........ 5 - 10 years!!!!!!!!!!!!!! maybe a lifetime? most people look for a year max for gfx card...okay longer if you are not a gamer but seen as you are on a games website i assume you are. I had a 8500 which was significantly faster than the gforce 3 500 TI. I upgraded not because it wasn't supported anymore..it is by the way..but because I wanted a 9700pro. The 8500 was and is a great card. As for Nvidea being cheaper...well the low end of market range MX maybe but the 9000 is much much superior to them. As for the 9800pro v FX...on performance the 9800pro is far better, runs cooler and is QUIET..unlike the FX, and will be much cheaper too. Stop being slavish to your card and don't worry, its not a sign of impotency you know not having the fastest card
