Quite a number of World of Warcraft players left the game to join Warhammer Online on its launch day, but Blizzard is confident that most of them will be back soon.
According to Blizzard COO, Paul Sams, having a large number leaving WoW then returning a few months later on the launch of a new MMO is just a pattern Blizzard is now accustomed to. "We've certainly had some of that happen, which is the same thing we experienced with Age of Conan and each time an MMO has come out we've seen some amount of reduction of use," he explained.
"The good news is that we've seen a significant number of people, well over half, that cited Warhammer as their reason for leaving - they've already returned."

I hate the fact that Warhammer went all Kiddie-WoW style in terms of grafics, can't wait till Darkfall or Guild Wars 2.

You know what, it doesn't matter if they are hardcore or 12 year olds, their dollar is still the same. Everyone needs to just admit it, WoW owns all its obvious, weather its good or bad or w.e, its making the money and its kicking the ass of the other MMOs in the market.

I never played WOW and never will. I deleted my 5-year vet characters from SWG before canceling my account and have given up on MMOGs. I'm never going back. Only single-player games for me from now on. Put that into your statistics WOW devs.

I can attest to this.I left WoW to play Warhammer.After realizing how much Warhammer sucked I returned to WoW.Its the best MMO out there, you can't fight it no matter how bad you want to.

WoW suck. I quit because it's just there to take your money. Garbage game, story is decent, execution of the story in-game is absolute s**t. Don't play it, it's trash and the dev's s**t on their player base even though their making over 500-700 million a year, with a 200 mill per 5 year upkeep cost.
