EA Going Underground Again

Electronic Arts announced the development of Need For Speed Underground 2 under the EA GAMES brand. Need for Speed Underground 2 is the sequel to Need for Speed Underground, which has sold more than five million copies worldwide since its release in November 2003.

Need for Speed Underground 2 will challenge gamers to immerse themselves in the tuner culture, exploring an expansive, free-roaming city divided into five distinct neighborhoods. Gamers will encounter rival racers who will initiate events, tip players off to the hottest racing spots, and show them where to buy the most sought-after licensed aftermarket upgrades.

The game will feature new game modes, deep new performance customization and tuning, and more than 30 licensed cars. The game also delivers twice the visual customization upgrades as the original game, providing a staggering 70 billion possible car combinations for total automotive self-expression.

Need for Speed Underground 2 is currently under development by EA Canada and is scheduled for release in fall 2004 for the PlayStation 2, Xbox, Nintendo GameCube, PC, and Game Boy Advance. To view the first image from the game follow the Screens tab above.

seef be a nub and buy a game. as a mod of a warez channel on irc, I can honestly say i've not bought a game in 2 years or more, that's for kids who just *have* to have their own guaranteed cd key or soem kiddy crap like that...get a life yourself, and get something for free once in a while, for if it werent for us, the games wouldnt be getting made in the first palce, and besides, EA games has enough money to throw around without having to worry about some people dloading their game. just get over it, and leave those who are different from you alone.

Damn this looks fine but don't you think its turing into a gta type game? you get to live in the city basically and do jobs and things to get upgrades. I just hope they can pull it off and make it a great game.

I regularly download games as a free full-version demo until I find something I like, then i fish out 50 and go to the store >< ...i miss the olden days where u could play a game for years and not get tired of it even though it probably sux compared to any of todays standards...i dont know what a "good" game is anymore....

Pull ya head out of ya arse and remember that nearly every program placed on the net has some degree of copy right attached and I'm sure that you don't just use the internet to browse anyways. Face facts dweeb....everyone rips things.As for the game whether or not I buy it actually will depend upon what extras it offers. It sounds that it's just gonna be a rip off the original with very little extra. Having a larger variety of parts and skins seems appealing but hey, look how many you can download for underground now. You can get virtually anything you want.Although the original was great it still seems less appealing without damage and cops chasing your ass around the track. It'd sure make the game a bit more difficult..
