Available in the Screens tab are five new screenshots of the (un)official sequel to 2005's fps game of the year, Project Origin.
Featuring enhanced enemy AI and weapons, as well as new locations and powers, Project Origin resumes the gripping tale of suspense, action and horror that begun in F.E.A.R. Beginning shortly before the ending of the first game, a Special Forces squad is on a routine mission when the city of Auburn is rocked by a supernatural explosion. Alma has unleashed her wrath upon the city.
Project Origin is developed by Monolith Productions, the original creators of F.E.A.R., after they parted ways with the series' publisher Vivendi.

Hope it doesn't use havok like befour, ageia hase better ... and it looks a little 2006 then 2008 but ther is time to work it. F.E.A.R. waz the best FPS I ever played ( and I played a lot of them ) :)

the muzzle flash isn't even in the right place, that's definitely the f.e.a.r. engine.sorry guys, project origin will suck major d**kage, thanks to the last mission pack that came out.

Definitely some jacked up muzzle flash action going on here.As far as the engine goes, it doesn't look TOO bad (it appears to be running without any AA/AF).If the gameplay was solid (it probably won't be), I'd pick it up.

@fanaticjoeactually, the last two missions packs weren't made by the same developers at the original.Monolith alone made the original game.Timegate did ALMOST all the work on the first addon (Extraction Point). That time they had Monolith's help.Perseus Mandate was done entire by Timegate without any input from Monolith. And that's the one that failed.Project Origin is backed by Monolith alone this time so it's going back to it's original creators. So I have faith in the developers. I'm sure it won't be AS good as the original (hardly anything is), but with the original team working on it, I have a feeling it'll shine.
