i dont understand why it takes them so long to make this game when it looks exactly the same as starcraft 1.It is the same as putting cs1.6 in to source engine

The cartoonish animation style makes me want to cry. This is not what StarCraft was meant to be!

I am sure it plays better than it looks. What we see here at still shots where as game effects can not be fully enjoyed until actually playing it.

This is EXACTLY what Starcraft was meant to be, and the reason to why it has taken a few years is probably because of this, getting it too look like Starcraft, yet new, cutting edge.I wouldnt say cartoon thou, it doesnt look cartoon at all infact, and not even close to Warcraft 3.I'd say, it looks like Starcraft 2.

this could be GOTD=Game Of the Decade, if they don't make me pay monthly subscriptions. I'm sure all those WoW gamecard purchases will be to handle the server load for when SC2 is released. LMFAO. ummm what is different to Starcraft 1 except flashy 3d graphic. So far i see nothing new ...Just fancy 3d effects . Hardly a new game ..Likke the guy said Starcraft 1.5

New campaign, new units, improved graphics.This isnt a new version (1.5) of Starcraft, and its not an expansion, this is Starcraft 2, the sequel, what, you guys retarded or something?Dont like it, dont get it! simple as that.

It doesnt actually look that bad it seems like its zoomed in as you have to slide over to see the whole picture. Check out the videos on blizzards site...loooks much better

StarCraft/SC broodwar are badass games and have been scence they have been out. Starcraft2 should blow them all away. with the exception of WOW. JUst hurry up with litch king.... StarCraft took to long...........Blizzard rocks ass!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I really hope that this game will be a failure.But that wont happen becuse people liked the original starcraft games.They where fun when they camed, but to release almost the same game just with a new campagin and a few new buildings and units, better graphic and such.The graphic is not even so good looking, it is actually the upgraded version of the warcraft3 engine.The gameplay will be the same and even worse.The thing that all unit have have some kind of weakness just bugs me, if I build a fatso large battle crusier I don't want a large horde of some cheap ground units to kill it.I like the warhammer:40 series, if you get a super unit in that game you will need to use large armies to take them out.

for 10 years they let their fans down, kept em waiting, thanks blizzard. As nice as it looks, dont think in quality it beats C&C, plays -we'll see

People U need to know that the real fans of Starcraft games do not care about graphics (~that much). That is because there are two types of real fans:1) People who (professionaly) play in multiplayer-they care only about speed/balance.2) Singleplayer geeks who only want continuation of Starcraft story.Heck I would play Starcraft 2 even if it had the graphics as the first one just to find out about the rest of the story! OK I'm stretching the truth a bit here, but just a bit!

Real fans don't care if something is bad, they play it anyway even if there are a much better multiplayer arounde somewhere.

C&C sucks ass. there's a reason Blizzard's RTS have sold millions, have legions of cats who still play the game despite it being 10+ years old, and face it: the way blizzard is going, EA and THQ might as well give up with their $#!TTY RTS games.

Blizzard is so behind, they just use the original boring formula.a warhammer expansion is better then this.What do we get here?No new races.New graphic.Some new units.A new campagin.What does a expansion of warhammer get?New units for all the 7 races.Two more races.A new campgain.Some improved graphic (not much, but still improved).Sure, starcraft is a good game but how fun is it to get the same game with some better graphic.This feels more like a expansion than a sequal.

Eh they should of made diablo 3 not starcraft not only did they make one for the n64 but they got C&C and soon to be halo wars this game wont even sell well and i bet it will be like every other pc game now a days poorly optimized and just slap a high req on it

I agree with you, the should have made another diablo.A roleplaying game like diablo can't be the kinda the same becuse everything is around the story.And if you change the story the entire game is changed.Diablo one and two with it's expansion is three very good games, and I wouldn't mind another trip down to hell or something.

Blizzard didn't even create all the races from scratch.The races are from warhammer, they just lost the license becuse they changed to many things.Zerg for exampel, those should be Tyranids.Tyranids are just like the zerg controlled by a overmind.They are one, there are no individuals in their race.They float around with ther hive fleets and consuming all life.Terrans, they are space marines, the elite forces of mankind.Prottos are eldar.I read this somewhere on wikipedia.If you want I can sniff it up for you, but I wont take my time if nobody wants it.

Ehrmm, there are no movie based on warhammer.So they could possible not say any line from warhammer.Neither did they have the license for warhammer at the end, so they changed everything.And why should it be based on something if they just say something.Also.Alien vs predator the first movie was released 2004 and starcraft 1998.So how can then starcraft be based on that movie?

It's the same as I could say that warcraft3 is based monty python just becuse the units in warcraft3 says some lines from monty pythons diffrent movies.I can't say warcraft3 is based on monty python, right?Becuse warcraft3 has nothing to do with monty python.Starcraft on the other hand has been taking much from the warhammer universe, all the three races are very similiar to some races to the ones in the warhammer universe.

It's possible that the races are based on WH, but they are much more similar to races from Aliens and Predator movies. Just think about it. Protoss are big and mighty warriors with WRIST (psi) BLADES, and not small and scrawny elf like creatures that like to attack form distance. Zerg Hydralisks are almost same as Alien Praetorians-a much meaner version of ordinary alien, and their spine attack looks just like the Alien acid. Picture of pilot form Terran dropship is exactly like the pilot from Aliens (so are the lines) etc.

And still, alien vs predator came out after starcraft, so it's more the AvP movies that has taken from starcraft.Also, I belive zerg are more like the tyranids.The tyranids got the overmind, their hive fleets and are also organic creatures that evolves.The aliens are just organic creatures that evolves.And I never saw the aliens spit acid anytime in their movie, only their blood was acid what I remember.

This game looks like playdoh literally, the colors, the anal technology, the rehashed sounds oh yeah it'll be a big hit.Their a few centuries too late for this s**t, no one in the right mind gives a flaming f**k about, lighting, shadows or even physics.All that s**t is standard issue these days in any game!!

It dosen't even are that good.Look at CoH, the graphic and physic that are in that game outshines the one sc2 have 10times or more.The concept is also so very old, gather resources, build base and then go attack enemy.They could atleast change the types of resources you are mining.
