Jagex, the developer and operator of the 3D Java online adventure game RuneScape announced that it now has more than 130,000 subscribers and has seen a record 60,000 concurrent players.

In the same week we have passed the 130,000 subscriber mark for our members game and had a record 60,000 players online at the same time, which shows that our free game continues to grow strongly. I played this game for a while.. it is a good game thats for sure but it aint a game for me :Pits a litle but to slow for me and the battles are a bit "the 1 whit the most damg always wins" type of battles. people who love rpgs.. play it.. people who love first person shooters.. dont play it

If u want a GOOD free and completly 3d mmorpg.. start playing : Project-entropia.that game is 100% free.. if u want.. u can pay for that game and than u get money inside the game u cna spend.. dont pay money for it.. u get no money there and u got to mine it your self (what is taking a VERRY long time :P) but it is free! over 10000 players,completly 3d,2 massive continets,huge amount of items,things u can make like clothes,weapons,armor etc etc..so i would say if u are looking for a good free mmorpg try project enropia

I used to play it....hated it but couldn't stop....kinda like a "tetris adiction"When they startet charging for access to better areas/magic/eq/quests/etc I stopped playing it. Found VERY frustrating that I FINALLY managed to get my rune EQ just to be 2nd rate in 1-2 weeks after that.PK was brutal.....LOL you could be the best and they gang banged you in the wilderness and that was it....you lost ALL you had with you...kinda funny to see people whinning when that happened to them hehehe.I managded to make a top 100 magician...for nothing..only after like lvl 50 there were no new magik spells until the pay for play thing happened.

Um...This is one of the most boring and horrible games ever created.I started playing Runescape in its very early days, when it was no more than a year old. It was ok then, because MMORPGs weren't so widespread. But now... holy crapThis game is nothing but clicking and looking like a gay 3d model.Dont waste your time registering, go get a job, and play some real mmorpg.jagex is gay

Id just like to say that its a great game for free. Its honest. ie, Jagex dont ask u for any details at all unless u want to secure your account, unlike other free online rpg's where u gotta enter ur email then u cant use ur email coz its gets spammed so much. People who are complaining, play this game for a week, even if you hate it, stick it out. I almost guaratee that after a week of gaining levels, and doing quests, you wont be able to stop playing this game. Its economy, its un-linear design, its structure and variety are all superb. The basic elements that the game are made up of are sheer genius. And the ammount of features u get for a free online rpg are great, providing hours upon hours of fun. And subscribing to members? Takes a minute, and 3 - 4 pounds sterling a month aint exactly murder considering a new pc game that will last a month at most willcost £30!!!!!!!!Sure, the graphics are a bit edgy in places, but what do you expect from a game that takes 5 minutes to load on dial up modem?The main reason I like it is because of the development aspect. Its always being updated. If there's nothing to do then a new quest will appear in a week or so. It is shheer genius i tell you! Its almost like grand theft auto coz you dont need to bother wiv any of the storyline, you can just do what you want! And thats what made GTA brilliant, and its also what makes RS brilliant.If someone can get me a game that has as much depth and value for money as RS then tell me now!!!!!!!!!

Also, RS can work fine on pcs that are coming up for a decade old! And it will work wityh a dial up modem no problem. And it works with Linux and Mac coz it uses JAVA, which, if ur using Java SUN then is completely independant from microsoft, which is why it works on so many different computer around the world!

Runescape is the greatest game I ever played on here. My mom, dad, brother and myself all have a runescape account. My boyfriend (now ex-boyfriend), Blair, showed me runescape and i've played it everyday since then. My names Christy Hanifan and I'm 13.
