US Army Recalls Rebellious Warbots

A few weeks ago, the American army started deploying new warbots called the Talon Swords in Iraq, but 2 days ago, an order was issued to recall them all due to their robotic insurgence.

Talon Swords are equipped with up to 3 M249 machines guns. The robot moves and aims on its own, but only its human controller can fire. So, every single bullet fired is approved by a human.

What happened is that the Talon Swords aimed at friendly soldier repeatedly. No inappropriate shots were fired and no causalities occurred thanks to the human-only firing system, but the bots had to be recalled.

It seems that it will take quite a while for warbots to enlist in army again."Once you've done something that's really bad, it can take 10 or 20 years to try it again", said Kevin Fahey, the Army's Program Executive Officer for Ground Forces.

a radio emitter could make a drone go berserk with out a chip. and all it needs to be is like a $50 chip, when you consider the technology, all it would do is scan the moving target or what ever it focuses in on, if the chip is there, sending out a signal then it ignores it, as for disruption, what they don't know they cant do

all it basically would be is a radio, so if you can have radio conversations you can have that working. as well you could modulate the frequency, have it constantly changing to help deny interference. and since it needs human confirmation there if something goes off

'Rebellious Warbots'WHATEVER!!Vote megagames for over hyping! These robots are not 'rebellious', they are simply doing what they are programmed to do. I mean c'mon, do you think they are like young teenagers going against the rules cause they have their own sense of moral and want to be bad?????

US Army Recalls Rebellious Warbots

you guys are f**king retards. read the thing. all it did was target a human, it just happened that the human was the wrong one to target. which is why it can be called rebellious, because its not doing what it should. it wasn't being told what to do at the time, just what it was programed to do. and programing errors are hardly 'rebellious' its a figure of speech not a literal meaning
